Girls Coding Academy is an organization that seeks to equip girls and boys with basic computer skills, Robotics, computer science concepts and enable them to engage experimentally, in application development. Girls Coding Academy does programs like hackathon, one on one coding and robotics sessions on a weekly basis, weekend sessions, coding boot camps and many more to introduce programming and robotics. They specialize in the production of controlled devices, the design and fabrication of robots for competitions, the education of students, and the transfer of high-tech intellectual property. Girls Coding Academy is a new academy of technology for a girl child in Lesotho.

The Founder of Girls Coding Academy is Google`s Women Tech Makers, WomEng and Africa Code Week ambassador in Lesotho, experienced in computer science field. Girls Coding Academy offers outreach programs in the rural areas of Lesotho where we teach coding and robotics for free. They also offer free lessons to the refugees. Their programs are designed to work with schools, orphanage centers and venerable children (OVC), youth, community development centers and adults to mitigate the effect of Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) by promoting education, psychosocial support and youth leadership development.
